Donavon Guyot, Chief Executive Officer
Donavon is a life long endurance athlete who competed in his first triathlon in 1989 at the age of 15. In the years since, Donavon spent summers training for triathlon at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO and for Modern Pentathlon in Roswell, NM. In 1990, he earned a US Junior National Triathlon Championship and in 2004, he completed his first Ironman event in Brazil.
Donavon studied Exercise Science as an undergraduate at the world renowned Ball State University Human Performance Lab in Muncie, IN where he also earned an MA in Communication Theory and an MS in Information Systems.
Donavon's professional background includes time spent as a technology consultant for Deloitte & Touche in New York City, NY and Media One Labs in Boulder, CO. In the fall of 1999 Donavon became one of the early employees of Active.com in La Jolla, CA. All paths converged when Donavon joined the team at Training Peaks in the summer of 2001, where he combined a lifelong passion for endurance sports with his background in information systems.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he is actively involved in product development and is driven to provide athletes with tools to maximize their athletic potential and extend their enjoyment of activity though every phase of their life. Donavon and his wife Jani currently live just outside of Boulder in Erie, CO where they are both active in the local endurance community.
