It’s been about 2 weeks since we launched WKO+. Thankfully, it’s been very well received by our existing customers and we’re getting some great reception among Garmin GPS users also. We were extremely excited to get this new version released as it accomplished both a ton of new features and finally integrated into the TrainingPeaks accounting, tracking, billing systems. We updated the licensing scheme and a lot of other ‘back-end’ functionality too, so there is a lot behind the scenes that has improved how we can support the application as well.

A huge shout-out to Jeff Hovorka for his incredibly tireless work on the programming. Also to Hunter Allen, inventor of CyclingPeaks for his tremendous dedication to making WKO+ the absolute best software for analyzing workout data on the planet. Thanks go out to the amazing Andy Coggan, Ph.D. for his amazing ability to understand physiology and transform it into usable application. TSS/IF and Normalized Power are all his brain child and they are core to the “intelligence” features of WKO+. Thanks to Paul Smeulders, inventor of ERG+, CRS+ and Real3D for his work in creating these awesome applications that make your CompuTrainer a powerful tool. Part of the launch including rolling these three applications into the CyclingPeaks brand, we’re excited and proud that these are now part of the CyclingPeaks family of products. Also, thanks to the Wattage List at Topica, a group of dedicated “training with power-meter” folks that have really been at the core of a lot of our upgrades and feature enhancements.

Mostly, thanks to you our loyal customers for all your support. It’s been 3 years since CyclingPeaks was first launched and it’s been filled with good times and some rough spots. But one thing is for sure, without the great support of our customers, a version 2.0 would not exist nor would the ability for us to get the zillion other feature ideas we have in our heads, brought to reality. Great stuff to come folks, it’s only gonna get better!!
