Dirk Friel Trains USA Triathlon Coaches

TrainingPeaks co-founder and Chief Marketing officer, Dirk Friel, recently spent a day at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs working with the USA Triathlon coaching staff. The focus of the meetings was to educate the coaches on WKO+ and TrainingPeaks' newest functionality in an effort to streamline planning and analysis of the USAT Trade Team training.
The USAT Trade Team members and coaches use TrainingPeaks in order collect and analyze data from multiple devices. Just as triathlon is a multi-sport endeavor triathletes tend to use multiple devices depending upon the mode of training.
USAT Sport Performance Director, Scott Schnitzpahn, explains, "Training Peaks is the center of our universe for communicating training information to and from the athletes and coaches working with our National Team, Elite Development, and Junior athletes. Now that we are working with power, heart rate, and GPS, TrainingPeaks software makes our efforts more science and less art.”
