Peaksware CEO presents at "Colorado IT Live"
Donavan Guyot, CEO of Peaksware LLC spoke by special invitation March 11th in Denver, Colorado to nearly 200 investors and entrepreneurs at "Colorado IT Live".
The evening was presented by the Boulder Software Club, Denver Software Club, and the Rockies Venture Club. At the end of the night, attendees walked away with a fresh appreciation for the entrepreneurial nature of Colorado IT and the potential it holds for the future.
Jim Conboy from Wolf Ventures followed Guyot's presentation with an investors' review of Peaksware's potential. His comments were very positive in confirming the smart growth of the company, the direction and future towards which Peaksware is pointed and the company's financial stability. Although Conboy suggested that Peaksware should focus, he commended the markets and methods into which Peaksware is developing.
Guyot's presentation (watch it here) outlines the very successful nine year history of Peaksware, and the company's mission to "build software to help motivated individuals and professionals achieve health, fitness and peak performance".Despite the motivation of many individuals standing up to the current epidemic of obesity and other health issues, Guyot believes there is "misrepresentation of what it takes to get fit and achieve health goals over the long-term". So Peaksware has built "one of the most complete and compelling systems that is truly an intelligent system for the body".The system is built on monitoring, analyzing and planning physiological data. And through direct upload compatibility with more than two dozen devices Peaksware can produce very detailed graphical analysis that can then be shared back with a coach or personal trainer so they can then modify the plan.Peaksware's current business objectives is to take the same tools which have been proven by professional and elite athletes across the lifestyle continuum to help anyone achieve health, fitness and peak performance from those chronically ill to elite athletes looking to win in the Olympics.
Coming soon are a full suite of tools for dieticians, personal trainers, corporate wellness, physical therapists and the healthcare industry. With current partnerships such as Intel, Philadelphia Insurance and Microsoft's HealthVault with more partnerships on the way, Peaksware is already experiencing success in each of these markets.
Despite the broad applications for Peaksware's software systems, technology development remains the core of the company's future. Guyot describes his vision for the company as "more than the current platform for athletes, it's to be the physiological chronograph for every industry from athletics to health". And since Peaksware currently holds one of the largest physiological databases of personal data in the world and has a strong record and reputation for maintaining that data over the last eight years, Guyot's vision for the future is certainly not far-fetched.
