Peaksware Selected by Timex to Deliver Online Training Solution
Lafayette, CO, October 28, 2008 – Peaksware, LLC announces the release of a customized software application based on its Device Agent and TrainingPeaks.com products. Launching in November, the Timex® Ironman® Race Trainer™ digital heart rate monitor will include online support software available at TimexIronman.TrainingPeaks.com produced by Peaksware™, when purchased with the Timex Data Xchanger.
The Timex Ironman Race Trainer series of digital heart rate monitors boasts two-way wireless data transfer via the Timex Data Xchanger USB device. A sleek polyurethane digital transmission chest sensor allows a user’s body to sync with the HRM watch to yield precise fitness data over extended training periods. The Timex Ironman Race Trainer digital heart rate monitor and the Timex Data Xchanger USB device, which utilize ANT+™ wireless technology, work in coordination with TrainingPeaks™ to provide online training support.

The Timex Ironman Race Trainer digital heart rate monitor series will be available for purchase in November 2008 at www.timex.com as well as in sporting goods stores and sports specialty retailers nationwide. The collection possesses an array of essential fitness functions, including a 10-workout memory and a five-segment variable-intensity interval timer. The Timex Data Xchanger USB device (available as part of a kit or sold separately) transmits zone and interval setup information among other workout and watch parameters.
The heart rate monitor is available in four watch styles, in both men's and women's sizes. It boasts a useful range of features, including:
- 50-lap memory with average heart rate per lap
- chrono or interval workout review with average/peak heart rate, time spent in target heart rate zone, and calories burned
- automatic heart rate recovery with multiple pre-set durations
- 100M water-resistance rating for enhanced watch durability
